The first dog infected with Corona virus in Jordan
A Jordanian medical source announced that the first dog was infected with # Covid 19 in Jordan, in the northern Ramtha region.
A source told the Jordanian Ammon Agency, that the dog belongs to a foreign person of Sri Lankan nationality and works in Al-Hassan Industrial City, and wanted to transfer it outside Jordan, as its owner was required to conduct a corona examination (of the dog) in a special laboratory.
The examination revealed that the dog was injured, to be considered the first such infection of a dog in Jordan, and the dog and its owner were quarantined at home, to avoid mixing with others.
The source said that a sample was taken from the owner of the dog and his neighbor in the house in Ramtha city, and the result is expected to be issued on Friday .. The source also indicated that the concerned authorities are in the process of isolating the dog’s home in accordance with the medical protocol approved with these cases.
This topic raises controversy around the world about the possibility of animals being infected with the virus and transmitting disease or not if they are infected.
إصابة أول كلب بفيروس كورونا في الأردن
أعلن مصدر طبي أردني عن إصابة أول كلب بـ #كوفيد19 في الأردن بمنطقة الرمثا شمال البلاد.
وقال مصدر لوكالة عمون الأردنية، إن الكلب يعود لشخص أجنبي من الجنسية السيرلانكية ويعمل في مدينة الحسن الصناعية، وأراد نقله خارج الأردن، حيث تم الاشتراط على مالكه بإجراء فحص كورونا (للكلب) في مختبر خاص.
وكشف الفحص إصابة الكلب، لتعتبر أول إصابة من هذا النوع لكلب في الأردن وتم حجر الكلب وصاحبه بالمنزل وذلك تجنباً لاختلاطه بآخرين.
وقال المصدر إنه تم أخذ عينة من صاحب الكلب وجاره في المنزل بمدينة الرمثا، ومن المتوقع أن تصدر النتيجة اليوم الجمعة.. كما أوضح المصدر أن الجهات المعنية بصدد عزل منزل صاحب الكلب عملاً بالبروتوكول الطبي المعتمد مع هذه الحالات.
ويثير هذا الموضوع جدلاً حول العالم حول إمكانية إصابة الحيوانات بالفيروس ونقلها للمرض من عدمه في حال إصابتها.
